This is just part 1 of phase 1. There will likely be much more work done on this forum in the days/weeks ahead by myself and others. I don't have time currently to tweak this to perfection, and if I set that as the bar, it never would be considered "open" at the rate things were going.
If people want to help, point to possible existing plugins/skins/something else that could be adopted, I'm open to suggestions for the time being. Just the response time may be slow. Also interested in seeing who turns up here, and among that group who is willing to play moderator for those who cannot or will not self-moderate on the relevant forums.
Getting started
Getting started pt2
..And since this came up somewhere else. Yes, it is within my ability to redirect forum.cwal.net over to here, and Fron's now months long practice of forcing everyone onto forum.operationcwal.net makes it rather easy for me to not feel bad if I chose to "repurpose" the older and more established sub-domain name. As by his own logic at this point, any disruption should be minimal. But I'm not inclined to stoop to that level right now.
I'm not going to advertise on the RR about this being here, and I'm likewise not going to disrupt service for people still getting to the RR via the forum.cwal.net redirect that currently exists. I'm not going to give him the satisfaction on that front, as I don't think that such a tactic is going to be necessary.

Re: Getting started
I think if we pointed forum.cwal.net to this, the terrorists would win.
Re: Getting started
Hrm, that (posting moderation queue) needs fixing. *digs around some more*

Found and fixed, shouldn't be an issue anymore.TheDeamon wrote:Hrm, that (posting moderation queue) needs fixing. *digs around some more*
Re: Getting started
I read the title of this forum so very very wrong.
Edit: For future reference; this forum was originally called "Chum in the water" before it was renamed.
