Sometimes I think it's funny to imagine that as people lose touch with reality, taking no initiative what so ever, a tumblr account spontaneously appears for them like a cancerous growth. And it begins spontaneously generating nonsense all on its own. Slowly, over time, the person internalizes what the tumblr account has been saying, thinking it was their own thoughts all along.

That's the only way I can account for how many people have seemingly been replaced by pods.
