Re: Been kinda quiet lately

Eh, I mostly only talk to Ishpeck on here, so I just bug him directly now.

I also got a Switch. Dumped probably 100 hours into Zelda. Got Shovel Knight for the first time I beat that. Just picked up Has Been Heroes. Still making up my mind about that.

Re: So I've been on a Battletech kick lately.

Well Razorfist isn't happy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-MifuPzQYc And a lot of the same shit worries me. People who play MWO fucking hate Piranha Games. They've broken so many promises and made so many bizarre gameplay changes. I was just watching another longtime Mechwarrior fan do a data dump...

Re: So I've been on a Battletech kick lately.

I got new brushes and new paints.

<3

But I'm definitely experiencing a bit of a learning curve. The new brushes are synthetic and generally have stiffer bristles. Which leave a lot of brush marks. So I probably just need to water down the paint more to compensate.

And I started painting again.

Nearly finished off a 12 mech regiment(?) from the Sword & Dragon starter book.

Now I just need a camera that does them justice.

Re: Wikileaks rumor: HIllary wanted to drone strike Assange

Shit, I almost forgot some transcripts of her speeches to Goldman Sachs, et al, finally got leaked, and it's full of the usual reversal on every public position she holds. Except they've paid her millions, and she has a much better track record supporting them than anything else she's ever done.

Re: Wikileaks rumor: HIllary wanted to drone strike Assange

Oh my god this latest round of leaks. Obama using white house resources to try to cover up Hillary's email server in 2015. The FBI in open revolt over the insane immunity deals Clinton's cohorts got. More Pay for Play leaks. Juanita Broderick in the news again reminding people Bill Clinton raped her...

Re: Wikileaks rumor: HIllary wanted to drone strike Assange

Apparently Assange's presser today was complete nothing. Everyone was so hyped about an October Surprise. He almost delayed it until tomorrow. Then it was maybe cancelled over security concerns. In the end it was just a feel good about 10 years of Wikileaks and all the important work they've done. O...

Re: Wikileaks rumor: HIllary wanted to drone strike Assange

Yeah, I really wish there were a better source for this stuff. I'm inclined to believe anything about Hillary. She's as much a warmongering neoconservative as Cheney ever was. But I'd hate to see people fall into the same trap the media put themselves with regard to Trump. Where they pump out so man...

Re: Robo-Hillary

I believe the story behind that is she fell, smashed her head, got a really bad concussion, and the concussion caused a deep brain blood clot. Supposedly that took her 6 months to recover from. Another theory I've heard instead of Parkinson's is that she's suffering from long term effects from the c...

Re: Robo-Hillary

Leading theory I've heard is that she has Parkinson's. Supposedly that, combined with the side effects of long term treatment, explain all her bizarre behavior. It's also frequently comorbid with pneumonia since people's swallowing and coughing reflexes are fucked. A lot of shit goes down the wrong ...

Re: Man, I miss old ass RPGs

I am so enjoying taking this week off work to grind away on my game again. Took me the weekend of tinkering to get proper inspired, but now I'm on a serious roll. Focusing a ton on combat, and making it interesting, fun, and just feel good to play. I made sure if you keep hitting enter, you'll take ...

Well.... you aren't far off. Islam and the south are both highly dysfunctional honor cultures. Islam far more so, but a lot of the feckless posturing seems remarkably similar.

Looks like the first rocket reuse on an actual mission has been scheduled!

That'll be a fun one to watch. I wonder if they'll even land it again.

I love the marketing jargon. It's not reused, its "Flight Proven".

Gaining that initial "(industrial) foothold" in space is going to be godawfully expensive and undoubtedly will run into the tens of billions of dollars. But the thing is, the people/corporations or nations who pulls it off are going to be in a very economically dominate position... This is simply n...

SpaceX landed another rocket

This was another one of their incredibly challenging mission profiles, having to spend almost all their fuel getting a satellite into a high earth orbit, and then having to use every drop left to slam the breaks as hard as possible at the last possible second. I didn't get to see the actual landing ...

Man, why didn't I think of that!

I missed out on having my student debt forgiven by the next administration by paying it off like a chump. But I don't own a home yet. Maybe I can sue somebody over that and get one.

Re: Man, I miss old ass RPGs

So one thing I've decided to do is have some semi-scripted random encounters. So you know, you get your usual CRPG random encounters. But sometimes, every so rarely, you'll get a more special random encounter with some story elements dropped, maybe drop a key item that might interact with another sp...
